Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, also known as Sheikh Zayed of Egypt, was a leader of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and the founder of the modern nation of the UAE. He was born in Al Ain, the capital of Abu Dhabi, in 1918, and died in 2004.
